Erotica has truly evolved over the years.  The inaugural show in 2016 was actually one of the first “pop-up” shows in town, and certainly the first erotic pop-up. Responses from both artists and attendees were so strong that Dennis Milligan-Lujan and partner decided to do it again…and again…

The show was born out of running across old work; going back in time and rediscovering the old life drawings that were done in college, laying in a dusty corner. They were brushed off and framed and, all the while, bringing back the spirit of freedom that let us create them. That was how the show was then, as it grew more artists were finding the way to show that rare side of a new idea about body that are normally left unseen in this area. Now, years later the interpretation of the human form continues to amazed as it is constantly interpreted and reinvented. (Pornography and any depiction of degradation of people are not accepted., although there is a “green room” for the more risqué work.)

Every year Erotica presents the works of 25-30 artists, both local and from across the country (many showing for the first time), showcasing more than 120 pieces of all kinds of media and styles, from oils to acrylics to illustrations. Additionally, a variety of types of 3D art makes this fun evening unlike anything offered in the area.

The venue is providing a very casual atmosphere, All COVID-19 protocols will be in place, face masks and hand sanitizer will be available. Vaccinations are strongly encouraged to be in the show and to attend it. Vaccination cards should be with you.

It’s an enjoyable social evening as well as viewing (and purchasing) some really talented works and visiting with artists.
